You’ll find us an easy 90 minute drive from Adelaide, South Australia. Our former artists’ residence and vineyard shed converted by hand to boutique accommodation is uniquely, unapologetically Clare. Come and see, taste and feel its stories and ethos of character, creativity and sustainability.
A stay at our vineyard accommodation in the heart of the Clare Valley is comfortable, with a touch of luxury and will provide vast views over the Watervale Riesling vines as far as the eye can see. Enjoy self check-in, local breakfast provisions for your first morning, and the serenity of nature and farm animals.

Cozy and quaint. Location is nice and peaceful, with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. Truly a unique and new experience for a stay unlike any, especially if you're after a private and natural retreat.
A comfortable and quaint property with beautiful surroundings. Carl was a great host and very responsive. My only regret is that we had to throw out quite a lot of food as the listing said it had a kitchen with pots and pans, but it only has a kitchenette (toaster, microwave, kettle). Regardless, I would highly recommend staying at Bed in a Shed! Thanks Carl 🙂

The bespoke creation of former resident artist Andrew Quixley, our Bed In A Shed units feature warm, inviting and inspiring design with extensive use of interesting, recycled materials, creating a unique Clare Valley accommodation option.
Bed In A Shed is made up of two units – Bed In A Shed One, a King Studio with additional single bed, and Bed In A Shed Too, and a three-bedroom villa. Combine the two for a wonderful and exclusive stay for your family or group.
The Artist's Homestead
Situated in the former artist’s residence, the original historic homestead features one of a kind rustic artisan timber designed cabinetry, decoration and artwork by Andrew Quixley, the creator of Bed in a Shed.
A more classical choice for your Clare Valley accommodation, the Homestead comprises of two units, the two bedroom main Homestead and the Homestead Studio. For larger groups or families, book the two together for exclusivity and privacy.
